Britain in 2026 - Documentary
Introduction: ‘Britain in 2026’ is an observational documentary produced by Adam Haggerty, shot around Britain in 2026. Each scene/shot will act almost as a postcard to Britain, good and bad.
The first shot will start at 00:00 on the 1st of January 2026 and the final shot will start 23:59 on December 31 2026.
Creative Concept: Each shot is exactly 60 seconds in length. Each shot will be static - locked off on a tripod.
Themes: City, Work, Art, Class, Politics, Time, Technology, Faith, Identity, Heritage
Locations: The places at which people intersect.
Some of the locations, characters and events I hope to document are:
New Years Eve
A protest
Karaoke in a Pub
A Sheppard
A Bus Driver
Fish and Chip Shop
A Fisherman
A Retirement Home
The World Cup
A Potter
Queuing at a Bus Stop
A Poet
The London Tube
Audio: To get good clean, I’ll be micing people up as much as possible.
I hope to continually review this process and be as creative as I can be within the parameters I’ve set.
